Eastport Buoy Project 2023

BuoyProject.JPG

The Eastport Buoy has come to life!

The fresh, fun, nautical design by local artist Alison Ross is ready for photo-ops, but we continue to seek donations for the next phase of the project to included  benches, tables, and signage. Donate below.

This project was inspired by the concrete buoy in Key West, Florida, a much photographed point of interest at the southernmost point in the continental U.S. since 1983.

The Eastport buoy was donated to the Port Authority by the USCG, installed at the breakwater, and is prepped, primed and ready to become the newest point of interest in the easternmost city in the U.S.

The new design has been painted on the buoy.  Future enhancements will include benches, cafe tables and signage.
