Arts & Culture
Eastport invites you to celebrate
life on the creative edge!
The Eastport area enjoys a rich 100+ year tradition of arts and culture. Today, the Eastport arts scene is alive with music, theatre, art workshops, gallery shows, lectures, film, and more.
The Tides Museum & Institute of Art has a permanent collection of art and artifacts in addition to its rotating exhibits. In the summer, the Tides presents the Wednesday Music on the Rocks concert series, and visiting StudioWorks Artists in Residence share their art and creative processes with the community. The Tides (Institute & Museum of Art) produces the regional cultural guide and events calendar: Artsipelago
The Eastport Arts Center celebrates the return of the Passamaquoddy Bay Symphony Orchestra, Friday Concert Series, Quoddy Voices and Stage East theater productions. KinderArts offers year-round workshops for school-age kids and the Center presents arts and theatre workshops for all ages.
The ArtWalk Weekends return for 2 weekends each summer with a full slate of interactive art experiences, gallery visits, live music, storytelling, film and more in Eastport and Lubec. New for 2022: an all-ages contradance in June and the first annual Mermaid Parade in August.
Galleries and studios all along Water Street in Eastport and throughout Washington County welcome visitors to stop and appreciate the work by our many talented regional visual artists.
