Tips for a perfect Eastport summer weekend
Friday:
Explore the shops and galleries along historic Water Street. Chat with a visiting artist-in-residence at StudioWorks. Enjoy a tasty sandwich and brew with a view at Horn Run Brewing. End the day with a classical music concert at the Eastport Arts Center followed by a cocktail at Ole Hookers, where everyone knows your name!
Saturday:
Fuel up with a bite to eat at Breakwater Bagels before embarking on a whale watching charter by Butch and his crew at Eastport Windjammers. Dine at the Happy Crab or the Old Sow Grill (catch the monthly jazz and string jams). Wind down the day alfresco with a Moonlight Movie at the Sutherland Amphitheater.
Sunday:
Start your day the Eastport way, with breakfast at the WaCo diner, Maine’s oldest diner, est. 1924. Work off that hearty breakfast with a scenic hike at Shackford State Park or take the water taxi to enjoy a hike on peaceful Treat Island, enjoying beautiful water views along the way. Return to Eastport to celebrate the weekend with a glass of wine and nibbles at Phoenix Fine Wines.
