Tips for a perfect Eastport summer weekend
Friday:
Explore the shops and galleries along historic Water Street. Chat with a visiting artist-in-residence at StudioWorks. Enjoy a tasty sandwich and brew with a view at Horn Run Brewing. End the day with a classical music concert at the Eastport Arts Center followed by a cocktail at Ole Hookers, where everyone knows your name!
Saturday:
Fuel up with a bite to eat at Breakwater Bagels before embarking on a whale watching charter by Butch and his crew at Eastport Windjammers. Dine at the Happy Crab or the Old Sow Grill (catch the monthly Irish pub-style string jam if you are lucky). Wind down the day alfresco with a Moonlight Movie at the Sutherland Amphitheater.
Sunday:
Start your day the Eastport way, with breakfast at the WaCo diner, Maine’s oldest diner, est. 1924. Work off that hearty breakfast with a scenic hike at Shackford State Park or take the water taxi to enjoy a hike on peaceful Treat Island, enjoying beautiful water views along the way. Return to Eastport to celebrate the weekend with a glass of wine and nibbles at Phoenix Fine Wines.
